A Mayfield man was arrested after a multi-county pursuit on a motorcycle.

According to Kentucky State Police, a Trooper was on routine patrol on US 62 in Carlisle County, when he noticed a motorcycle driving reckless, and at a high rate of speed, Saturday just before 2:00 am. The Trooper attempted to stop the motorcycle, but the operator, 35-year-old Derek F. Brown, fled in an attempt to get away, at speeds over 100 mph.

The pursuit continued through Carlisle, Hickman, and into Graves County.

Brown eventually stopped at the intersection of US 58 and US 45, and then fled on foot. KSP and a deputy from the Graves County Sheriff’s Office were able to apprehend him at approximately 2:52 am.

He was charged with 3rd offense DUI, driving on a DUI suspended license, 1st degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, 1st degree fleeing or evading police with a motor vehicle, 1st degree fleeing or evading police on foot, reckless driving, no registration plate, no insurance, and speeding.
