Redmon said a team of investigators went to a business in the Lynnville community to question someone about some stolen firearms. During the interview process it was learned that May had recently sold a 30-ton wood splitter and a 21-gallon upright air compressor to that person. The items were found hidden under a tarp on the backside of a farm in a tree line next to woods.
May was charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000 and lodged in the Graves County Jail.
Jail records show that May was arrested on August 1 in a case involving a stolen go-cart. He was charged with burglary, theft by deception and receiving stolen property. He bonded out of jail on August 4.
