Mayfield Man Arrested on Attempted Murder Charge

A Mayfield man is facing a charge of attempted murder.

The Mayfield Police Department says 41-year-old Pastor Mercado and 30-year-old Ethan Blake, both of Mayfield, got into a fight Tuesday at the intersection of South 10th and West Oak streets. After the altercation, police said Mercado got into a vehicle, chased Blake down and struck him with the vehicle.

Blake was air-lifted to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Mercado was arrested and lodged in the Graves County Jail. He's charged with attempted murder.
