Mayfield Man Arrested on Cocaine Charges

MAYFIELD - A Mayfield man is facing cocaine charges.

Investigators with the Graves County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit completed a lengthy investigation on Tuesday, relating to the illegal sale of cocaine in Mayfield. Deputies say 54-year-old Charles Sherrill, of South 14th Street, was arrested after a search warrant was executed at a home that he was occupying.

During the search, police reportedly located cocaine and various items of drug paraphernalia. Deputies say the paraphernalia items were consistent in items used in the cooking process of crack cocaine and trafficking of the illegal drug.

Sherrill was lodged in the Graves County Jail and charged with trafficking cocaine 2nd offense. possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
