Mayfield Man Arrested on Drug Possession Charges

MAYFIELD, KY - A Graves County man was arrested Monday after he was spotted smoking marijuana while driving home. Deputies located the vehicle parked at a home at Ash Drive and Perry Street, south of Mayfield. Drug Division Detectives arrived on scene and conducted a field interview. 

A search warrant was obtained on the vehicle and home. During the search, detectives found approximately 30 oxycodone tablets in a cigarette package, a small amount of marijuana, hydrocodone, amphetamine tablets and a large amount of cash. 

Deputies arrested 25-year-old Jason Loyd of Mayfield. He was charged with trafficking controlled substance greater than 10 dosage units, possession of controlled substance first and second degree, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and prescription controlled substance not in proper container.

Lloyd was lodged in the Graves County Jail.
