Mayfield Man Facing Meth Charge After Traffic Stop

MAYFIELD - A man is facing methamphetamine and other charges following a traffic stop in Mayfield on Monday.

The Mayfield Police Department said an officer conducted a traffic stop at Paducah Road and Housman Road on a truck with an expired registration plate. The driver, 32-year-old Justin Patterson, gave consent for officers to search his vehicle.

During the search, officers reportedly found a plastic straw with methamphetamine inside.

Patterson was placed under arrest and lodged in the Graves County Jail. He's charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and expired registration plates.
