The Mayfield Police Department says officers were dispatched to an address on East North Street in reference to intoxicated juveniles. Police said one of the juveniles was so intoxicated he was losing consciousness. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, then flown by helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville to be treated for alcohol poisoning.
Shortly after the ambulance left, police said the man allegedly responsible for giving the juveniles alcoholic beverages, 28-year-old Joshua Perry of Mayfield, arrived at the scene. Officers said Perry was also under the influence of alcohol.
Perry and the two remaining juveniles were detained and transported to the Mayfield Police Department for interviews. During his interview, police say Perry admitted he let the juveniles consume his alcoholic beverages while under his supervision.
Perry was placed under arrest and transported to the Graves County Jail. He's charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place, three counts of unlawful transaction with a minor and wanton endangerment. All three juveniles were charged possession of alcohol by a minor.
