The Kentucky State Police are investigating the escape of a Mayfield man who was on home incarceration. Just before 10am on Saturday, State Police was notified by Probation and Parole that 29-year-old Joshua T. Fox had just assaulted a Probation and Parole officer and a Mayfield Police officer who had attempted to take him into custody for a probation violation.

The investigation revealed that Fox became combative upon learning of his arrest and assaulted both officers. During the struggle, Fox took Mayfield Officer Logan Hampton’s TASER and deployed it striking Hampton. Fox was then able to flee the home.

Kentucky State Police, Mayfield Police, and the Graves County Sheriff’s Office searched the area for several hours but were unable to locate Fox. The Kentucky State Police have obtained warrants for Fox on charges of escape first degree, two counts of assault third degree, and theft by unlawful taking over $500.

Fox is described as a black male, 5’10” tall and weighing 250 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black tank top and black shorts. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to dial 911 or contact the Kentucky State Police at 270-856-3721.
