Two Mayfield men were arrested Tuesday night on marijuana and other drug charges.

According to the Mayfield Police Department, officers saw a suspicious vehicle parked sideways by the front doors of Food Giant on Farthing Street. Officers said they could smell marijuana coming from inside the car.

During a search of the vehicle, police found drugs and drug paraphernalia. Two men inside the vehicle were arrested.

Forty-three-year-old Gregory Marshall and 26-year-old Jeremiah Sayles, both of Mayfield, are each charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of synthetic drugs. Marshall is also charged with possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle and tampering with physical evidence.
