Two Mayfield residents were arrested on drug charges Monday.

The Mayfield Police Department said officers responded to a call of a suspicious person at a business on East Broadway. When police arrived, they made contact with 22-year-old Brittany Ann McCoy and 20-year-old Andrew Taylor Shoemaker.

According to officers, Shoemaker and McCoy were both found in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Shoemaker was also found in possession of marijuana. McCoy was also wanted on an arrest warrant out of Graves County.

Both were arrested and taken to the Graves County Jail. Shoemaker was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. McCoy was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was also arrested on a warrant for contempt of court, failure to appear on a fraudulent use of a credit card case.
