Mayfield Police Investigating Infant's Death

Authorities are investigating the death of an infant Sunday morning in Mayfield.

The Mayfield Police Department said an eight-month old child was found dead at home in the Garden Apartments at around 11 a.m.

An autopsy has been set for Monday at the State Medical Examiner’s office in Madisonville. The Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services is assisting Mayfield Police in the investigation.

No other details have been released.
