MAYFIELD, KY - A Graves County woman has been arrested on burglary and theft charges.

Kentucky State Police received a call of a theft from Southern Comfort Suites in Mayfield on Tuesday. The victim reported that someone had unlawfully entered his bedroom at the business and had taken a cell phone and wallet.

A witness at the scene identified 46-year-old Toby Benjamin as being in the immediate area at the time of the burglary. Trooper Jody Cash located Ms. Benjamin at her home in Mayfield shortly thereafter. Benjamin was found with the stolen cell phone and was subsequently arrested for burglary second degree and theft by unlawful taking over $500.

Benjamin was lodged in the Graves County Jail.  The investigation is continuing by Trooper Cash.
