A Missouri man was arrested Tuesday evening in Lyon County after a vehicle pursuit that began on Interstate 24.

Kentucky State Police say troopers clocked a car about 5 pm traveling at a high rate of speed on I-24 near the 48 mile marker. They attempted to pull the vehicle over, but the westbound driver increased speed and tried to flee. A few miles down the road, the driver took exit 45, then got back on I-24 going east.

Eventually the driver, 19-year-old Tajuan M. Davidson of St. Louis, stopped near the 46 mile marker and was arrested without incident.

Davidson is charged with fleeing or evading police 1st degree, wanton endangerment 1st degree, two counts of wanton endangerment of a police officer, speeding 26 mph or more over the speed limit, reckless driving, disregarding a stop sign, improper lane usage, failure to use head lights, and failure to maintain insurance on the car. He was taken to Caldwell County Jail.
