More Area Folks Test Positive for COVID-19

Several more cases of novel coronavirus were confirmed Friday in the area.

The Calloway County Health Department says one additional case was confirmed, which is their 51st case of the virus. Forty-seven people are fully recovered, three are isolated at home and one person died. 

The Southern Seven Health Department says three people have tested positive for COVID-19, with two in Alexander County and one in Johnson County. This brings their total to 261 positive cases. Five additional people have recovered for a total of 103 since the start of the pandemic. Thirteen people have died.
