More Purchase Parkway Restrictions Friday, Monday

An additional lane restriction will be in place Friday and Monday in the Purchase Parkway work zone near Benton.

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to unload and install beams for bridges along the new ramps on the north leg of the Exit 43 interchange on August 26 & 29. While this happens, trucks will be required to park along the shoulder of the parkway.

The restriction is expected to be in place for southbound traffic on Friday and for northbound traffic on Monday. All traffic will move to the center lane in this work zone.

This is in addition to traffic restrictions that are already in place in this work zone. Extra caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the roadway and close to traffic.
