Motorcyclists in Sturgis for KY Bike Rally
By AP
STURGIS, KY - Thousands of motorcyclists have roared into Sturgis this weekend for the Kentucky Bike Rally in Union County. Now they will be roaring back out.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the event expected to draw 15,000 or more motorcycle enthusiasts to the county fairgrounds in Sturgis and advises motorists to be alert to the extra traffic.
Major routes such as U.S. 60 and Kentucky highways 109, 56 and 91, as well as Illinois Route 13, are seeing increased motorcycle traffic. The cabinet says rally participants also cruise nearby back roads while attending the event.
Help keep everyone safe, look, listen and be aware of motorcycles.
