Multiple Suspects Named in Drug Investigation

PADUCAH, KY - Four people were arrested, and drugs and more than $18,000 cash were seized by Paducah Police after a tip was received Wednesday evening about alleged illegal drug activity at a home on North 21st Street. 

Officers obtained a search warrant for the residence, located in the 900 block of North 21st, and reportedly uncovered methamphetamine, pipes, scales, and small plastic bags.

Additionally, $18,000 in cash was found in various locations inside the house.

Taken into custody were 34-year-old Henry J. Wilkey of Paducah and 28-year-old Savannah K. Travis of Calvert City.

The investigation then led officers to a hotel room on Hinkleville Road, where 29-year-old Shaun E. Hunter of Smithland was taken into custody, along with 18-year-old Destry L. Carter of Paducah. Officers say methamphetamine, marijuana, $520 cash, and a variety of pills were discovered in the hotel room.

Hunter is charged with possession of marijuana and trafficking in a controlled substance. Carter is charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.  

Hunter was arrested by Paducah Police six weeks ago on trafficking and possession charges after he was pulled over for speeding. At that time, officers seized three ounces of methamphetamine, and more than $1,000 cash.
