Kentucky State Police say human remains found in Trigg County have been identified, and a Cadiz man is charged with murder.

Troopers said remains found August 6 near Old Rocky Point Road in Trigg County have been identified as 25-year-old Cameron M. Phillips of Powderly, Kentucky.

Preliminary autopsy results indicate Phillips died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Over the weekend, detectives arrested 31-year-old Montie E. Streeval of Cadiz. He is charged with murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
