The Mrs. Kentucky Organization announced the selection of Annamarie Faye Ulrich as Mrs. Murray-Calloway County.

Married to SPC. Justin Ulrich, AnnaMarie is a graduate of Mid-Continent University and currently working on her degree in Elementary Education at Murray State University. Her spare time is spent as a soccer referee for MCCSA and volunteering for the Murray Independent School District. As a family their hearts are devoted to various projects supporting The HUGS project of Western Kentucky and the USO. Justin and AnnaMarie have one child, Landon age 6.

The contestants competing for Mrs. Kentucky are women that have unselfishly given to non-profits and community organizations. They work for causes because of their family, friends or personal experiences. They are to be saluted for their contribution in making a difference in organizations like American Cancer Society, March of Dimes, American Heart Association, domestic violence, SMART, breast cancer awareness, the prevention of child abuse. 

Feelings are strong in promoting Mrs. Kentucky with elegance, grace and dignity. Not only will it showcase the family unit as a whole, but it also highlights the accomplishments of these women. Fifty percent of the points to achieve the title of Mrs. Kentucky are determined by an interview with each contestant. There will also be an evening gown and
swimwear competition.

According to State Director Jo Ann Peterson, the program has one purpose: to celebrate the beauty of Kentucky’s married women. “Our contestants do not necessarily fit any particular mold. Our participants represent an incredible variety of backgrounds, lifestyles and personal interests. No experience or performing talent is required.”

The two-day event, hosted in Crestwood Kentucky, October 24-26 culminates with the selection of Mrs. Kentucky who will compete for the title of Mrs. America in 2014.
