The Murray Police Department reminds everyone that their next Citizen’s Police Academy is quickly approaching, but there is still room available for anyone who is interested.

The Fall 2018 Citizens Police Academy will begin on Oct. 15th and will meet on Monday nights at 6:30 pm through December 3rd.

Each week, students will learn about a different aspect of police work from MPD officers, detectives, prosecutors, firearms instructors, and other parts of the criminal justice system.

Anyone 18 or older who has an interest in how law enforcement operates is welcome to join. There is no cost and no previous knowledge of law enforcement is needed.

This class will be the first one held in the new Murray Police Department at 104 North 5th Street.
For more information and applications, go on the city website at: http://www.murrayky.gov/police/cpa.htm  or contact Sergeant Brant Shutt at:
brant.shutt@murrayky.gov  or 270-753-1621.
