An early-morning traffic stop in Murray led to the arrest of three people on drug charges on Friday.

The Murray Police Department says officers stopped a vehicle near the 1400 block of North 12th Street. Officers said they learned 30-year-old Diana Hernandez had purchased methamphetamine shortly before she was stopped, and they got descriptions of the people who sold the drugs. Hernandez was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance.

While officers were still on the traffic stop, the suspects who reportedly sold the drugs to Hernandez drove by and officers stopped their vehicle. During the stop, officers charged 28-year-old Ashely Burse and 25-year-old Ralton Spradling, both of Murray with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance. Spradling was also wanted for parole violation.

The Murray Police Department was assisted during the investigation by the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office.
