A trial date has been set in Calloway County for a man facing sex and kidnapping charges from 2005.

Calloway County Circuit Court Clerk documents show that Kevin Scott Fleming's trial has been scheduled for January 8-10, 2020, with a final pre-trial conference on December 3. Judge James Jameson will preside over the trial.

The Murray Ledger and Times reports that Fleming was indicted by a grand jury in November 2018 on one count of 1st degree sodomy, three counts of 1st degree sexual assault and kidnapping of a minor. The crimes allegedly took place in August 2005, when the female victim was 13 years old. The two reportedly met earlier that year while working on productions at Playhouse in the Park.

Fleming was arrested August 30, 2018 after the victim was interviewed several times by Murray Police detectives.
