A Murray man has been convicted of rape in McCracken County.

According to KFVS-TV, a jury on Thursday found Jantzen Brickeen guilty of 2nd degree rape and 3rd degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

The recommended sentence was five years in prison, and Brickeen is officially scheduled to be sentenced on February 11, 2019.

Brickeen turned himself in to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department on December 7, 2017 after a woman told detectives she had been raped on the morning of November 26. The victim said she had been at a home in the Lone Oak area and that she was naked and very disoriented when she woke up.

Detectives determined Brickeen was their suspect after gathering evidence and interviewing him and several others who were at the home that night.
