Murray Police Seek Owner of Found Money

The Murray Police Department says it is trying to locate the rightful owner of some cash that was recently found at a local business.

Officers say someone found a substantial amount of money on August 13 at a local business on South 12th Street and turned it in. The money was left between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Police are asking whoever lost the money to contact them at 270-753-1621 to verify the amount and what type of package it was in. They say the employee that found it will be able to recognize the owner.
