High school students looking to learn more about scholarships and receive financial assistance have an added resource to prepare for admission to Murray State University: a new partnership with RaiseMe.

RaiseMe gives high school students the ability to earn micro-scholarships for college starting as early as ninth grade. The incremental micro-scholarships can be earned for numerous categories, including academic achievements, classroom attendance, extracurricular activities, community service and even by scheduling a campus visit to Murray State.

The partnership is the latest in a series of University initiatives that make a Murray State education more accessible to students. To date, more than 1,000 high school students are connected with Raise Me through the University's web page at raise.me/join/murraystate.

"Murray State University's innovative partnership with RaiseMe allows us to provide a valuable tool that motivates and rewards students who work hard both inside and outside of the classroom to prepare them for a transformative experience at Murray State," said Don Robertson, vice president of student affairs.

In order to be eligible for scholarships, soon-to-be high school graduates of the Class of 2019 are encouraged to create an account by September 1st, and begin applying for scholarships.
