Mystery Still Surrounds Woman's Disappearance
By AP
HENDERSON, KY - The mother of a western Kentucky woman who vanished in the mid-1990s while sunbathing on an Ohio River beach hasn't given up hope of solving the mystery that has confounded police.

Sarah Teague said Friday she thinks her daughter's abductor is still on the loose.

Sunday marks the 17th anniversary of Heather Teague's disappearance from Newburgh Beach in Henderson County.

Kentucky State Police at Henderson issued a release Friday saying investigators are still searching for answers.

Trooper Corey King says police have pursued every possible lead but to no avail. He says the investigation has taken detectives as far as Arizona and Florida to chase down possible leads and witnesses.

Sarah Teague is critical of the police investigation, saying authorities pinpointed the wrong suspect and failed to pursue some leads.
