Bowman, a teacher with twenty-five years of experience, uses engaging lecture techniques, technology, and music to share his research-based concept that teachers who develop relationship with students help young people to develop essential qualities for success and happiness, such as character, responsibility, self-discipline, respect, integrity, and a strong work ethic.  

His approach is encapsulated in one question: “How can we educate our students in such a way that we create incredible results?” He insists that teachers can achieve “not just average, ordinary results, but….remarkable, extraordinary results that truly impact the lives of students.”  He believes that his approach works everywhere.   

Bowman related the story of one particular influential teacher, Mrs. Abercrombie, who said she saw great potential in him and encouraged him to become an outstanding student.   In his witty seminar, Bowman revealed that he still speaks to her every night because, as it turns out, she is now his mother-in-law.  

Bowman is certified to teach music, English, and science.  He has taught in schools with fewer than 100 students in kindergarten through twelfth grade and in schools with over 5,000 students.  The author of A Grade Above, A Step Ahead and Teach Like a Rock Star, he shares his ideas as a speaker with tens of thousands of teachers annually.
