New cases of COVID-19 were announced in western Kentucky and southern Illinois on Thursday.

The Purchase District Health Department announced five new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, three in McCracken County and two in Fulton County. McCracken County has 106 individuals that have tested positive for COVID-19, Ballard has 12, Carlisle has 5, Hickman has 4, and Fulton has 9.  There have been 86 recoveries and 2 deaths in McCracken, 8 recoveries in Ballard, 2 recoveries and 1 death in Carlisle, and 4 recoveries in Hickman.  

For the ninth day in a row, the Marshall County Health Department is reporting no new cases. Marshall County remains at a cumulative total of 36 cases, with two deaths. The other 34 individuals have all recovered at this time, leaving no active confirmed cases in the county.

The Southern Seven Health Department confirmed two new cases of the virus, one in Johnson County and another in Union County. Currently, southernmost Illinois has had a total of 258 positive cases with 98 recoveries and 13 deaths.
