New cases of the coronavirus were confirmed in western Kentucky and Southern Illinois on Wednesday.

The Purchase District Health Department announced six new cases of COVID-19 in McCracken County. One of the new cases is a four-year-old boy. This brings the total number of cases in McCracken County to 103. The Purchase District Health Department is reporting a cumulative total of 131 cases, with 97 recoveries and three deaths.

The Calloway County Health Department reported one additional case of the virus on Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases to 50. Of these cases, 43 have fully recovered and one death has been reported.

The Marshall County Health Department says it has no new cases to report. The total number of cases remains at 36 cases, with 33 recoveries and two deaths.

The Southern Seven Health Department confirmed just one new case of the virus, a woman in Pulaski County. Currently, S7HD is reporting a cumulative total of 256 positive cases of COVID-19 in the Southern Seven region, with 98 recoveries and 13 deaths. 

Other health departments have not released updates at this time. This story will be updated as more information is received.
