New License Plate Features World Record Fish

FRANKFORT, KY - Kentucky has a new license plate available for sale.
Preorders are being accepted for the plate depicting the world record smallmouth bass, commemorating David L. Hayes' catch in Dale Hollow Lake in 1955. The state Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources says Hayes caught the 11-pound, 15-ounce fish while trolling a Bomber crankbait near the location of the new boat ramp.
The plate costs $25 and will be available in March. Early signups are being taken until Oct. 20.
