Deputies said Michael Nichols was on his way to work on his 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle when a deer darted in front of him. Nichols was unable to avoid colliding with the deer.
Nichols was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. Deputies said Nichols was wearing a helmet and other motorcycle safety attire that prevented the injuries from being more severe.
