Over 300 Area COVID Cases Reported Wednesday

WESTERN KENTUCKY, SOUTHERN ILLINOIS - Over 300 new cases of COVID-19 were reported by area health departments on Wednesday.

The Pennyrile District Health Department reports 22 new cases across their district. The new cases include 9 in Caldwell County, 7 in Livingston County, 4 in Trigg County, and 1 each in Crittenden and Lyon Counties. Additionally, health officials reported two new deaths, a 75-year-old man and a 77-year-old woman.

The Graves County Health Department said they are aware of 55 new cases of the virus, raising the county's total to 1,428.

The Marshall County Health Department reports 29 new positive cases, raising the county's total to 828. One of the new cases is isolating in a hospital. Health officials also reported one new death in the county.

The Calloway County Health Department announced 16 new cases and one new death.

The Purchase District Health Department reported 111 new cases across their district. The new cases include 95 in McCracken County, 6 in Ballard County, 5 in Hickman County, 4 in Carlisle County, and 1 in Fulton County. There were two new deaths reported in the Purchase District.

The Southern Seven Health Department is reporting 65 new cases of the virus across the Southern Seven region. The new cases include 23 in Massac County, 20 in Union County, 9 in Johnson County, 5 in Pulaski County, 4 in Hardin County, 3 in Alexander County, and 1 in Pope County.
