A Paducah man was arrested Monday after a pursuit in Graves County.

The Kentucky State Police conducted a traffic safety checkpoint on U.S. Highway 45 at the Brush Creek Bridge near Wingo, and a vehicle driven by 37-year-old Martin J. Kendall was among those they checked. While Troopers were asking some routine questions, Kendall fled the scene in his vehicle. After a chase of about two miles, Kendall got out of the vehicle and fled on foot. After he ignored commands to stop, a Taser was used, and Kendall was arrested.

When Kendall complained of chest pains, he was taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center, where he was cleared by medical staff. He was then taken to the Graves County Jail.

Kendall was charged with fleeing and evading police 1st degree in a motor vehicle, fleeing and evading police 2nd degree on foot, two counts of wanton endangerment 1st degree, resisting arrest, DUI with aggravated circumstances, driving on DUI suspended license, reckless driving, speeding 26 mph or more over the limit, and unauthorized use of motor vehicle.
