On Thursday a Marshall County Sheriff's Deputy was sitting near the Jonathan Creek Bridge on US 68 East when he saw a vehicle driving erratically. The Deputy reportedly saw the vehicle turn on to Beal Road, and caught up to the driver, 46-year-old Everette E. Duncan, of Paducah when he pulled into a driveway.

Police said Duncan stepped out of the vehicle and was very unsteady on his feet, and the deputy smelled a strong odor of alcohol. A field sobriety test was conducted, and an open beer was found in the vehicle.

Duncan was arrested and charged with DUI and possession of open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle. He was booked into the Marshall County Detention Center.
