The Paducah Symphony Orchestra will presents its second concert of the season, "Scheherazade", tonight at 7:30 pm at the Carson Center. This year's Young Artist competition winner Mary Grace Bender will also perform with the orchestra.

The evening’s signature piece is Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade. Known for its passion and timeless energy, Artistic director and conductor Raffaele Ponti describes Scheherazade as, “sexy, romantic storytelling at its best! It’s a lot of fun to play.”

The orchestra is also set to perform Kenneth Fuch's Discover the Wild, and Gioacchino Rossini's William Tell Overture.

Bender will reprise her competition-winning performance of the 4th movement of Edward Elgar’s Cello Concerto in E minor.

Tickets for the concert start at $19 and are available at www.PaducahSymphony.org, by calling 270-444-0065 or by visiting the PSO offices at 760 Broadway.
