According to the Graves County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened around 10:30 am on US 45 North, in front of the old General Tire plant. Deputies said an SUV, driven by 56-year-old Sarita Robinson of Paducah was traveling south when her vehicle hydroplaned in a heavy rain storm.
Robinson's SUV crossed the median and collided with a northbound SUV, driven by 36-year-old Jamie Burchett of Mayfield. Robinson was killed on impact. Burchett was transported by Mayfield/Graves EMS to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.
