MURRAY - A Murray man was taken to a hospital Tuesday after being hit by a vehicle.

At 11:40 am, the Murray Police Department responded to South 9th Street near Poplar Street. They spoke with 23-year-old Ashlee Whitley of Murray, who said she was traveling on 9th Street when the side of her vehicle struck a person crossing the road.

Sixty-seven-year-old Gil Hopson said he was crossing the street when he walked into the driver's side of a vehicle as it was passing by.

Hopson was taken to an emergency room for treatment of possible injuries.
