The Benton Police Department responded at 11:40 am to Poplar Street in front of the Little General convenience store. They say the pedestrian was airlifted to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville for treatment of injuries.
Poplar Street was closed for about an hour after the accident and a collision reconstruction expert was called to help at the scene.
Names of those involved have not yet been released. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
