Police Identify Human Remains in Trigg County

An investigation by Kentucky State Police into human remains that were found Tuesday in Trigg County has uncovered more evidence.

According to state police, a property owner found a skull Tuesday morning on Oak Grove Church Road. An overnight search of the area located a female body.

The remains were collected by police and turned over to Trigg County Coroner John Mark Vinson.

A preliminary examination of the body was completed on Wednesday at the Kentucky Medical Examiner’s Office in Madisonville. Police said the results were inconclusive as to a cause of death. A full autopsy will be performed on Thursday.

Kentucky State Police have positively identified the victim as 33-year-old Christina D. Edmonson of Cadiz.

KSP has searched two homes on Oak Grove Church Road for evidence related to the ongoing death investigation. Detectives are asking anyone with information possibly related to this investigation to contact them at 270-856-3721 or anonymously at 1-800-222-5555.
