Police are looking for the vehicle and driver involved in a hit-and-run accident Friday in Henderson.
Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement says the accident happened at 11:45 am near Ellis Park, on U.S. Highway 41. A local Ford dealership helped in the investigation by identifying numbers found on a part that was left behind. It was determined that a piece of a headlamp came from a Mercury Mystique built between 1995-1997, and a witness said the car was a blue four-door model. It was last seen headed north on Highway 41 toward Indiana, and the vehicle would now be missing both headlamps and the grill.
If anyone can identify the car or its driver, they should call Kentucky State Police at 270-826-1578.
