The Mayfield Police Department says officers responded to the store about 6:50 am and were told that a man suspected of shoplifting was in the parking lot. Police spoke to 49-year-old Michael Winn and eventually arrested him for theft by unlawful taking under $500.
Police said witnesses told them that Winn threatened a store customer, so further charges are pending.
Winn was taken to the Graves County Jail.
