MAYFIELD, KY - A woman being sought by authorities in Graves County has been arrested. Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon said Tabitha Wheeler turned herself in at the sheriff's office Friday night.
Deputies said Wheeler was allegedly under the influence when she wrecked her car last month. The wreck, which took place on Jan. 25 on KY 849 East near Dogwood, left Wheeler’s four passengers with serious injuries. All four were transported to Vanderbilt University Hospital and two are still there.
Wheeler was also injured in the crash but had not been seen since her release from the hospital and deputies had been unable to locate her.
Wheeler was lodged in the Graves County Jail on four counts of assault, four counts of wanton endangerment, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, no operator's license, falsely reporting an incident and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle.
