A man has been charged with murder in connection to a crash in Caldwell County last year that killed a Princeton woman.

According to Kentucky State Police, a Caldwell County grand jury indicted 26-year-old Travis Hale of Princeton on murder and DUI charges. The charges stem from a crash a year ago that killed 72-year-old Jeraldine Reece.

Reece was driving south on KY 139 North on Feb. 14, 2016, when Hale's vehicle crossed the center line and struck her vehicle head-on. Reece was pronounced dead at the scene, and Hale was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Hale was served the warrant at the Hopkins County Detention Center on Friday, where he was already being held.
