A Caldwell County woman faces numerous charges, including meth possession and assault, after her arrest in Marshall County.

Marshall County sheriff's deputies responded to the Comfort Suites in Draffenville at the request of EMS. The ambulance service had been called due to a woman who was sitting in a vehicle under the canopy and yelling for help. The driver was identified as 45-year-old Debra Collins of Princeton.

According to the police report, Collins was very uncooperative with paramedics and deputies. Collins allegedly kicked at one of the deputies, striking her in the waist area.

After a short investigation it was determined that Collins had driven to the Comfort Suites and was under the influence. A search of Collins' purse revealed a dollar bill that was folded to store a white crystal substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Collins was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, assault 3rd degree, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and possession of methamphetamine.
