Radio Road Crash Sends Both Drivers to Hospitals

CALLOWAY COUNTY, KY - Two people were injured, one seriously, in a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Calloway County.

According to the Calloway County Sheriff's Office, the collision happened around 4:15 pm on Radio Road near Dexter. Deputies said 32-year-old Matthew Smith of Dexter was traveling north when a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Charles Stone of Murray pulled from Toskana Drive into the path of Stone's vehicle.

Stone’s vehicle struck Smith’s vehicle in the driver’s side door. Both drivers were treated at the scene and taken to Murray-Calloway County Hospital for treatment. Stone was later air-lifted to a hospital in Evansville, where he was listed in critical condition. Smith remained at Murray-Calloway County Hospital where he was being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
