Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon is seeking a third term in office. Redmon filed his re-election papers Monday morning at the Graves County Courthouse.

Redmon was first elected sheriff in 2010. Redmon said during his time in office, the department's equipment has been upgraded and staffing levels have increased. Redmon said he's also proud of his office's efforts to reduce drug trafficking in Graves County.

“I'm proud of what we've accomplished during our first two terms in office but there is more that can be done,” Redmon said. “I would like to serve the people of Graves County for four more years.”
