Baseball teams have already been working out in Florida and Arizona during Spring Training for the 2015 Major League Baseball season. However with 2015 Relay For Life approaching, more teams are still needed to help in the fight against cancer.

For the counties of Graves, Ballard, Carlisle, Hickman and Fulton, the American Cancer Society Relay For Life is seeking new teams to join these events this summer. There is no registration fee and teams can be a business, church, civic organization, school or club, or made up of friends and families.

For teams who register by Tuesday, March 3, those team captains who sign up with a Relay For Life event in Graves, Ballard, Carlisle, Hickman or Fulton counties will be eligible for a drawing to win an extra-large promo Yadier Molina St. Louis Cardinals jersey.

Teams are welcome to attend their respective county’s event and set up a campsite or simply bring lawn chairs and walk the track to support cancer survivors and raise awareness about the fight against cancer. Teams are also encouraged to help fund research grants and programs and services through the American Cancer Society by holding fundraisers.

Registration can be done online at www.relayforlife.org and search for the Graves, Ballard, Carlisle, Hickman or Fulton county event. For additional information, contact the Paducah office of the American Cancer Society at (270) 444-0743.
