GILBERTSVILLE, KY - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is restricting traffic to one lane on US 62 in Marshall County at the US 641/KY 282 interchange.

The lane restriction is to allow bridge deck repair work to be done on the Gilbertsville Highway overpass at Kentucky Dam Village State Park, at the west end of Kentucky Dam. More work is required on the bridge than was originally expected, so the work zone will be in place until about September 19.

Alternating traffic flow will be controlled by an automated signal.  Delays should be  generally less than 4 minutes, however, some longer delays are possible. The work zone will remain up around the clock.

To avoid delays, motorists may choose to detour via Interstate 24 between Exit 27 and Exit 31.  This work zone should only impact traffic on US 62.  There should be no impact on traffic transitioning between US 62 and US 641 at the site.
