Rotary District Gov. Presents Prestigious Award

MAYFIELD, KY - Don Dykman, Rotary District Governor of District 6710, was recently the special guest speaker at the Rotary Club luncheon meeting held at the Mayfield-Graves Country Club. Dykman discussed the theme and mission of Rotary International, and the planned activities and goals for 2012-2013.
During the meeting Rotary Treasurer Rodney Pearce was awarded the prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship by the Rotary Club of Mayfield. District Governor Dykman presented Pearce with a commemorative certificate and a pin.
Pearce recently retired from the Graves County School District after serving 10 years on the job as the district's finance director.
Meeting activities also included the welcoming of new member Laura Cook, Mayfield Graves Tourism Commission Executive Director, into the club. Included in the new member induction ceremony were Rotary New Member Orientation Chair Jack Wilkerson, and Cook's Rotary sponsor Kristin Woodward, Mayfield-Graves County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, who had the privilege of pinning her colleague with her first Rotary lapel pin during the ceremony.
