Mayfield Mayor Teresa Cantrell made the announcement Wednesday on her Facebook page. She said more information on the store's opening date would be coming soon.
Ruler Foods stores emphasize the Kroger Value brand, with some other national and regional brands available. The store keeps overhead down by having customers bag their own groceries and “rent” shopping carts for 25 cents.
Ruler stores offer produce, meat, dairy, frozen and non-perishable products, as well as supplies for cleaning, pets and babies.
